Turn On the Juice: How to Unleash Creativity at the Office

I’ve come to think that flourishing (another way to describe the feeling of significance) consists of putting yourself in situations in which you lose self-consciousness and become fused with other people, experiences, or tasks.

It happens sometimes when you are lost in a hard challenge, or when an artist or a craftsman becomes one with the brush or the tool. It happens sometimes while you’re playing sports, or listening to music or lost in a story…or to some people when they feel enveloped by god’s love.

Some people call it ''flow.' And it happens most when we connect with other people.

I’ve come to think that happiness isn’t really produced by conscious accomplishments. Happiness is a measure of how thickly the unconscious parts of our minds are intertwined with other people and with activities.

Happiness is determined by how much information and affection flows through us covertly every day and year. It’s a side effect of 'turning on the juice'….immersing yourself in the juice.

If you feel unhappy right now, you may be pinching yourself off from the life force (juice) that is so natural unto you, so much what you want, and so much what you deserve.

"Juice" is the creative energy current behind every type of tangible form or manifestation. Juice reveals possibilities that express new life.

When you've turned on the juice, you're no longer stuck in your limited story.

To turn on the juice, remember the massive energy that is available to you. You can use it in your own way. Simply open up those barriers that you have erected within yourself.

That’s what it means to turn on the juice.

Juice is only used as a symbol of the energy and the strength that is available to each of you, as you utilize those abilities that are your heritage. Forget the cringing self that you sometimes are and remember the magic essence of your own being that sings even now. This is the reality that you are seeking.

Juice is the prime moving force that vitalizes your inner experience. It is the spilling over effect of all that is. It creates as it is created.

Juice gives vitality and validity to your inner multidimensional self. Juice is the great giving that is behind all dimensions of existence.

Juice enlarges your perception and the perceptions of those around you until you experience as many other aspects of reality of which you are capable.

When you turn on the juice, you are not talking about data. You are unlocking intuition, insight and imagination so that you can raise your faculties to another dimension. This is your 'soul power.'

What gets in the way of turning on the juice?

  1. A sense of unlovability

  2. Fear that others would reject us if they really knew us

  3. Mistrust

  4. Suspicion that those close to us will betray us

  5. Social exclusion, feeling we don’t belong

  6. Failure, sense that we cannot succeed at what we do

  7. Subjugation, giving in to others’ demands

  8. Entitlement, the sense that one is special

  9. Perfectionism, the sense that nothing is ever good enough

  10. Deprivation, the sense that one will never get enough love or caring or money

Don’t let anyone steal your juice. No one can take your juice by force, but they can take it by stealth. How?

By eroding your confidence in your product, your service and yourself.

Co-workers and family members can steal your juice by complaining about the problems without being willing to become part of the solution. Either convert them or ignore them.

Competitors can steal your juice by undermining your confidence, telling you what’s wrong with your product while concealing problems with theirs.

Let them talk. Learn all you can about their products, problems and prospects while sharing nothing about yours.

You can steal your own juice by not qualifying prospects before the selling process.

Think about a tiny acorn; it doesn't 'build the tree.' When it's planted in the dirt, it's surrounded by a new type of energy. Call it 'life force.' The acorn seed is fueled at the core. This is the 'juice' that is being described here.

We still have deep impulses to erase the skull lines in our head and become immersed directly in the river.

Why is this important? Because most of us feel separated from everything and everybody else. When we feel separate, it's hard to sense what our true purpose is.

When you turn on the juice, you will be swept along in a gestalt of comprehension in which you realize your own oneness with All That Is. It has a unifying effect. As a result, you will feel less isolated and less set apart.

When you turn on the juice, you can view your life from a higher level. You can turn your struggle into content that changes people’s lives. This is what most managers and coaches want, but cannot articulate.

When you turn on the juice, you drink from this silent stream of life that runs beneath the surface of everything; as you live from that depth of your own being more and more, then you’ll rise taller and stronger in this world; more than you ever thought possible.

When you focus on alignment with your highest ideals, you can feel the energy flowing to you and through you. This is how you turn on the juice.

'Juice' is the human impulse to organize, but to improvise rather than to locate, divide and control. This type of energy has also been called 'elan vital.'

Juice unleashes your inner genius. Nietzsche had it wrong. Everything comes from spirit, from juice. It is invited by attitude and emotion. These precede outer manifestation.
